Open Wings is not a day centre. It is a small, unique, bespoke and person centered service in Nottingham which was established so that adults with a wide variety of learning difficulties could access learning and activities in a small and calm, safe, friendly and supportive environment.
It is a place to go to if day centre provision is not always suitable. Groups are smaller and tutor to learner ratio is also small.
Adult Learning is tailored to each individual and specific to their needs. If suitable, citizens can work towards gaining a work placement or employment. For more information please see our Services and About Us page.

“Open Wings was formed out of our passion and commitment to make a positive and meaningful difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities and or difficulties. It will recognise each individual for their uniqueness and diversity.”

A positive story to start the week with:

One of our service users from Nottingham has fulfilled a lifelong dream to meet her favourite band - @theREALboyzone - while on holiday in Scotland.

Big thanks to Bridget and Amanda for accompanying her!

In less than 2 weeks Beth is off to somewhere where she will be properly supported and allowed to do the things that keep her anxiety low. Where her love of animals will be used as therapy..
Look at that happy smile.. https://t.co/Zs0DPu1nZt

Notts News: This amazing Sherwood choir for people with learning disabilities is called 'Open Voices'. Members meet every week to sing and now they're in rehearsals for their own Christmas song. @_chloebicknell met the melody makers during practice at St Martin's Church. https://t.co/oqmRiXjDTa
