Open Wings is not a day centre. It is a small, unique, bespoke and person centered service in Nottingham which was established so that adults with a wide variety of learning difficulties could access learning and activities in a small and calm, safe, friendly and supportive environment.
It is a place to go to if day centre provision is not always suitable. Groups are smaller and tutor to learner ratio is also small.
Adult Learning is tailored to each individual and specific to their needs. If suitable, citizens can work towards gaining a work placement or employment. For more information please see our Services and About Us page.

“Open Wings was formed out of our passion and commitment to make a positive and meaningful difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities and or difficulties. It will recognise each individual for their uniqueness and diversity.”

So honoured to work with the @MfENotts Open Voices Choir. Absolute joy and a phenomenal experience for everyone involved. Know anyone who wants to come along?

Notts News: This amazing Sherwood choir for people with learning disabilities is called 'Open Voices'. Members meet every week to sing and now they're in rehearsals for their own Christmas song. @_chloebicknell met the melody makers during practice at St Martin's Church.

inspirational to thousands of young people, a role model to young girls hooked on reality tv and believe that world is real. You are an inspiration to those with autism/difficulty. You bring stark reality into lives with passion and conviction, you are admirable.

Here we go again...
As you may have noticed, the haters are as active as ever - going after me, my looks, my clothes, my behaviour and my differences.
They come up with every thinkable lie and conspiracy theory. (Thread->)

@sueperkins absolutely loved your Japan show this evening. Interesting to find on google that Japan also has lowest level of mental health problems along with highest levels of longevity. They are doing something right! Well done 👍👍🏽

Absolutely wonderful to be back @MfENotts Open Voices choir this morning. Everyone sang their hearts out! One of the attendees said ‘I’ve been counting down the days to come back to choir’! Nothing more to be said..

How terribly sad if only the right care and support had been given. I can’t imagine the pain poor sally was in. The Givernment need to, at all costs, ensure that this does not happen again and that people with learning disabilities are given the support and care they need!

I know this post says Sherwood but the whole of Notts is ok too. Come on there must be someone who can help David achieve his dream! #inclusivity #diversity #disability #workexperience

This week has been a tricky week.
All Hail the NHS who quickly turned around a suspicious sore lump in my armpit to be nothing more than a sore lump in my armpit due to hormones in no less than 3 days! Amazing. Plus, you know life muddles and tricky relationships - who said…
