Open Wings is not a day centre. It is a small, unique, bespoke and person centered service in Nottingham which was established so that adults with a wide variety of learning difficulties could access learning and activities in a small and calm, safe, friendly and supportive environment.
It is a place to go to if day centre provision is not always suitable. Groups are smaller and tutor to learner ratio is also small.
Adult Learning is tailored to each individual and specific to their needs. If suitable, citizens can work towards gaining a work placement or employment. For more information please see our Services and About Us page.

“Open Wings was formed out of our passion and commitment to make a positive and meaningful difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities and or difficulties. It will recognise each individual for their uniqueness and diversity.”

Dreadful. The hospital should have made some adaptations as simple as you holding a card out to say drinks are hot. A simple sign and symbol like Makaton that everyone would recognise. There was a solution but the hospital was too ignorant. Every problem has a solution. https://t.co/4N2wR2NeMm
