Open Wings is not a day centre. It is a small, unique, bespoke and person centered service in Nottingham which was established so that adults with a wide variety of learning difficulties could access learning and activities in a small and calm, safe, friendly and supportive environment.
It is a place to go to if day centre provision is not always suitable. Groups are smaller and tutor to learner ratio is also small.
Adult Learning is tailored to each individual and specific to their needs. If suitable, citizens can work towards gaining a work placement or employment. For more information please see our Services and About Us page.

“Open Wings was formed out of our passion and commitment to make a positive and meaningful difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities and or difficulties. It will recognise each individual for their uniqueness and diversity.”

@StagecoachEMid can't the Nittingham City Council concessionary bus passes for adults with learning disabilities be used on your bus to go from Nottingham to Mansfield ?

Was a brilliant morning @CarersTrust @sherwoodcom when our group did a little singing and signing performance for the aduts with Dimentia. Everyone seemed to love the morning and everyone joined inπŸ˜„

What are your thoughts on unpaid work for adults with learning disabilities? If they are on a long term placement/work experience do you think they should get some form of payment? Would be interested in your comments as I know there are some varying views on this.
Please include how you heard about us in your message, Thanks!
